Mrs. Howard's Science Class

Hello! My name is Mrs. Howard, and I’m the sixth grade science teacher at Bellville Junior High School. I look forward to starting a new school year and getting to know my students and their families. I intend to provide my sixth graders with engaging learning experiences that leave them with a yearning to discover more about the wonderful world of science.

While studying to become a teacher, I held different jobs in Corpus Christi, TX, my hometown. I worked as a guest ambassador for the Texas State Aquarium. As a guest ambassador, I performed duties such as informing guests about upcoming shows, explaining the map of the aquarium, and supervising guests of all ages in the Splash Park. I also worked at Trudy’s Hallmark as a lead sales associate. I helped customers select greeting cards and gifts, replenished items on the sales floor, and prepared the store for the Keepsake Ornament debut. Aside from customer service jobs, I worked with preK-4 students in my school’s work study program as an America Reads tutor. I had a blast helping the four-year-old students develop their literacy skills.

I graduated from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi with a bachelor’s degree in Science. When I’m not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband, reading leisurely, and admiring nature.

Students and parents, I look forward to working with you this school year! If you have questions or concerns, you can contact me via email at [email protected]. Email is my preferred method of contact. I will return your email or call at my earliest convenience.
