Hello and Welcome!

My name is Stacy Holland.  I began my career as a Geologist and spent 15 years working as a Scientist/Project Manager.  For the past 10 years, I taught in Katy ISD before I began teaching in Bellville ISD. 
  
My husband and I have lived in Bellville for over 3 years.  Our daughter graduated from college a year ago and is currently a Forester in Colorado.  She enjoys her job with the BLM grading timber.  Our son has 2 more years of undergraduate studies his goal is to conduct medical research in the field of biomedical engineering.  We enjoy our home, land, and our neighbors and are enthusiastic about continuing to build relationships within the Bellville community.

I am excited to be a part of the Brahmas family.  My educational philosophy includes facilitating a risk-free learning environment in which students develop science content with the freedom to express themselves as individuals in order to address their strengths for attaining knowledge and apply real-world 21st century skills.  My goal is for every 8th grader to leave junior high with self-awareness of their ability to succeed, how to advocate for their learning needs, and well prepared to invest in their path to personal success.

You can expect your student to be challenged to push themselves to take learning risks, work with small groups on projects, prepare technology presentations, conduct research, and develop a learning portfolio in the form of an Interactive Student Notebook (ISN).
